Kevin and Heidi dressed up for Dr. Seuss's birthday. Kevin reused his Cat in the Hat costume from a few years ago and Heidi was a sneech with a star on her tummy.
One day we picked up Ryan from work and walked around campus a bit. Heidi fell down and sweet Ann Marie held her hand all the way back to the car to help her feel better.
Ann Marie has started drawing people. Mainly it's circles with two lines for legs and some dots for the face.
We cleaned the church. Kevin did a great job mopping the girls' bathroom. He asked to do it and when I asked him if he knew how he said, "Of course! I taught myself!"
Ryan found this wagon at a yard sale. The kids love it.
Here are some pictures of flowers growing in our yard.
Dianthus and Snow Cone Candy Tuft (the candy tuft will probably be done blooming soon, but it's an evergreen and it should get bigger as the year goes on, and apparently they often bloom again in the fall). I get a lot of compliments about these flowers from people walking by. I recently planted some bright pink vincas in the space behind the dianthus.
These flowers grow wild on the lawn. The girls like to pick them and bring them to me.
Here are some of the pink dianthus (I planted three purple and three pink). I just love them. I'm pretty diligent about deadheading them and they just keep blooming, and they also smell really good.
I sprinkled wildflower seeds in the garden bed beside the house. A few little white flowers are starting to show. Honestly I'm starting to think these were a mistake because they're very thick and it just looks like a weed patch. We'll see how they look once most of them have bloomed (which hopefully will still happen). If a lot of the flowers bloom it should look pretty. Fortunately they're annuals, so if I don't like it I don't think it will be that hard to try something new next year.
