I love this phrase from Lead, Kindly Light. It has given me reassurance and peace at times when I worry that things won't work out to know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me and will guide me in the right way. While many of my posts on this blog will just be updates about our family or random things that happen or pop into my head, I want to use this as a way to share with people the many things Heavenly Father is doing to take care of my family and me--how He is keeping our feet.
Ryan and I met during my second year at BYU. We were in the same ward. We were married in May 2008 in the Provo, Utah temple. Ryan is working on a PhD in Physics (Astronomy track). I am working on my bachelor's degree on Geology and will hopefully be finished next summer.
Kevin was born in July 2009, and Heidi was born in June 2011. I can't imagine life without them.
I love my family, and I am especially grateful that we are an eternal family. I feel so strongly that the greatest contributions I can make to the world and to God's kingdom are being made within my own family, and I am trying every day to appreciate and fulfill my role as a mother better.
I love to learn about cooking and food storage, read books, go for nature walks, study the gospel of Jesus Christ and many other topics, sing, play the piano and oboe, sew, and spend time with my family.
Sometimes I share my thoughts about various gospel topics on this blog. I will do my best to say things that are true, but I'm not officially speaking for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
